Our story

Hello, and welcome to the first page on the ItemCollectors website. Here we will be publishing news about cool figurines, movies, series, animegames, lore, world records, and guides. You will find everything you need to know about item collecting on this website.

We'll also talk about some of the new items we have added to the original Itemcollectors collection. So far, we have acquired two wizarding world wands, two fantastic base-lit LightSabers, and one Neopixel Darth Maul Lightsaber. If I'm being honest, I'd like to have a Neopixel LightSaber because it's a lot brighter than a base-lit one, but my girlfriend doesn't think it's such a good idea. One light saber is more than sufficient. In my opinion, no! I don't want to go bankrupt; lightsabers aren't cheap these days, so I'll have to wait a little longer.

A special item I'm looking for is the Sheldon Funko pop figurine from The Big Bang Theory. I know they're available online, but I'd much rather discover them at a convention. All of my other items were bought online, but this one is unique. My search has lasted three years and several conventions, and I still haven't obtained the Sheldon figurine I'm looking for.

I must admit that I've gotten close since I discovered a figure of Sheldon in a flash suit. But that version of Sheldon was not the one I was looking for, so my quest for the right one continues. It may take me another two years to discover "the one," but that's part of the fun for me. If you're a true collector, you understand the joy of discovering a piece you've been looking for for a long time.

Okay, maybe not all collectors enjoy looking for their items, but most of the people I know do. Don't get me wrong, if you're a collector who prefers not to search for their items and just wants to order them online, that's fine. I'm just messing around. The thrill is a big reason why I haven't ordered the Sheldon figurine online. I welcome you all to my site, and I hope you enjoy your stay. Maybe you will even find something you like or that you've been hunting for. Keep collecting!

STAR WARS

Star Wars was one of my favorite childhood series, as it is for many others. I was born in the year 2000, and by that time, Star Wars had become a pop-culture phenomenon. I was still a baby at the time, and I had no idea what movie series or figurines were. I was keeping myself preoccupied by eating, sleeping, crying, and, of course, playing.

A little later in my life, I came across the film The Empire Strikes Back. I had heard about Star Wars previously, but I couldn't recall who had told me about it or where I had heard it.

As a result, my journey began with an old VHS tape that most teenagers these days aren't even aware existed. I, on the other hand, had the luck of growing up with VHS tapes and witnessing the rise of smartphones and other digital gadgets.

I can still remember the first time I saw a blaster shooting insanely bright colored bullets, as I called it, to the best of my understanding. And not to forget a freaking LightSaber, a bright sword made out of light that cuts through basically anything it touches. To me, this was exciting and thrilling, and I was craving to know more about the lore in this movie.

And then eventually the end of the movie comes into sight, and my head starts to fill with amazement, sadness, excitement, and hope. Amazement because of the sheer geniality of the movie that I have just watched; sadness because it has all come to an end. excitement and hope for the possibility of more of whatever I've just witnessed.

I run to my father to ask him if he knows Star Wars. He looked at me and said, Of course I do. Which movie have you seen? At that point, my heart started to race faster and faster. Did he just confirm there are multiple movies? My father explained that there was an entire universe to this film and that it wasn’t a standalone movie.

Around 2012, when a couple of films were released, I asked my father this question. And I'm glad that I did.

After I finished the first film on my own, my father and I watched the rest until the 2005 movie Revenge of the Sith. We didn't know at the time that Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be out in three years. It was a long wait for me until the next Star Wars film was released, but I can't imagine the fans who had to wait nearly a decade for the next big Star Wars film to be released on screen.

In my opinion, nothing can top the original series. I do, however, like the extended universe that's being built on this amazing establishment that George Lucas and many others created together.

At the time of writing, the new Obi Wan Kenobi series is only a few weeks away from premiering. The new Obi Wan Kenobi series is available on Disney+. After all this time, every new piece of star-related stuff that appears on the screen still excites me. I even play Star Wars Battlefront 2, a game that a great buddy recommended to me once we discovered that we shared similar interests.

My friend suggested that we start a Discord community (a platform for people to connect that share a certain or variety of interests), and so we did. We currently have over 600 members and expect to continue to grow in the future. I can't wait to learn about all the new and old secrets that this fantastic universe has to offer.

May the force be with you!
